Both men and women can experience such behaviour and many children are silent witnesses; leading to long lasting emotional harm. Often victims feel suffocated and unable to turn to anyone for help. No one should suffer at the hands of an abusive partner. Alternatively, if you are texting or calling us from a phone which somebody else may have access to, it may be wise to delete the text trail and/or your call history if you are worried for your safety.
