Tom is a Solicitor and Professional Court of Protection Deputy working in our Private Client department. Tom qualified as a Solicitor at Hugh James and, after gaining experience in other areas of law including Welfare Benefits and Claimant Litigation, has chosen to specialise in Court of Protection work. Tom is based in our Pontypool office, but travels to see clients in all of our offices or can carry out home-visits.
Experience
Tom qualified as a Solicitor on 1 July 2015. His current workload is split between Court of Protection matters – 70%, Lasting Power of Attorney 10%, Wills – 10% and Probates – 10%. Tom has gained significant experience in drafting ad submitting Court of Protection applications for the appointment of Deputies and also acts as a Professional Deputy and Attorney. He is supervised by Linda Dack.

Outside of Work
Tom plays a range of musical instruments and is a member of a band. Tom also enjoys creative writing and has self- published two novellas.
