Watkins and Gunn Solicitors are ‘Raising the Roof’ for Mental Health on 12 February 2020!

The  MHF (Mental Health Foundation) Live project is a UK-first that encourages music fans to host events to Raise Awareness, Raise Money & Raise the Roof for mental health!

The MHF recognises that music is a powerful tool – not only can it lift moods, but it can also help to break down stigma, encourage conversation and promote positive mental health for all.

Watkins & Gunn Solicitors have teamed up with Mischief’s Café Bar in Cardiff to host an evening of live music in order to raise money for the Mental Health Foundation and raise awareness of mental health issues. The event will feature local artists Johnny Collins, Ruth Rose and Shake Your Brass.

Watkins and Gunn has its own ‘Wellness and Gunn’ initiative which ensures that the Health and Wellbeing of the firm’s staff is a top priority. Wellness and Gunn holds events throughout the year – providing support, raising money and signposting services for its staff and clients.

Lucy O’Brien, Associate at Watkins and Gunn, said; “We are excited about the event on Wednesday as it’s a great opportunity to get together with our colleagues, clients and friends outside of the office to raise money for MHF and raise awareness of mental health issues in an informal environment.  We hope that the event will help to reduce the stigma associated with mental illness, promote help seeking behaviours and emotional well-being practices, and signpost the services available for support.”

All are welcome to ‘Raise the Roof’ with Watkins and Gunn on the 12th of February 2020 at 6.30pm at Mischief’s Café Bar (36 James Street Cardiff CF10 5EY) for an informal evening of music, food, fun and fantastic prizes!
