Garry joined Watkins and Gunn in 2024. He has worked in the legal profession since he was 17.
He has previously worked for the Health Authority dealing with accidents at work and clinical negligence cases. He then moved over to specialise in working for Trade Unions and private clients. He has represented NALGO, COHSE, SOGAT, NALGO, Community Union, GMB and Furniture, Timber and Allied Trades. Garry has dealt with complex multi-track cases to include fatal accidents.
He has been heavily involved in professional sports, acting for footballers, football managers, teams, boxers and Olympic athletes.
He has been the Lawyer for the Sheffield Steelers Ice Hockey team for the last 25 years, representing the club, players and supporters. He acted for two high profile footballers who were involved in career ending injuries, one involving Tottenham Hotspur.
Garry has also dealt with transfers between football players and clubs and for football clubs. He has also handled contract negotiations.

- Involved in a very highly publicized case when he sued Mr Blobby for a claim for personal injuries when he attacked a senior representative of a major ice hockey team.
- Acted for a professional footballer in a case against Nike for a product defect.
- Acted for a professional footballer who was sacked by a Premier League club.
- Negotiated a number of clothing deals for professional sportsmen and kit deals for professional football clubs.
