Abigail is a Solicitor and Head of Education Law.  She joined Watkins and Gunn in 2026, having practiced as a solicitor for over 20 years.  Abigail’s specialism is in education law.   She has a particular interest in equality and human rights,  especially disability discrimination.

Prior to joining Watkins and Gunn Abi was Principal Legal at the Equality and Human Rights Commission, conducting high profile litigation including the Commission’s intervention in the case of the University of Bristol v Dr Robert Abrahart.  Abigail works with partners in the Higher Education sector in relation to reasonable adjustments and disability. She previously sat on the Office for Students’ Disability in Higher Education Advisory Panel and regularly speaks on this topic, including at Universities UK’s annual conference and to the Westminster Higher Education Forum.
