You must appoint Executors to carry out the instructions in your Will.
It is advisable to have at least 2 Executors and you can appointment up to a maximum of 4.
You may appoint your spouse or partner. You can also appoint your children, provided they are over the age of 18. You can appoint friends or relatives.
You should name other executors to act in the event your first choice of Executor is unable to act (Replacement Executor).
Alternatively, you can consider appointing a professional Executor, such as a solicitor. A solicitor can act solely or jointly with family members who are also appointed. If you wish to appoint Watkins and Gunn, please indicate this below.
You can choose who you would like to leave your personal possessions. Most couples choose to leave their personal possessions to each other with the provision that if their spouse/civil partner/partner has passed away before them their personal possessions would form part of their Residuary Estate.
Alternatively, you can choose to give your Trustees power to distribute/dispose of your personal possessions as a they feel appropriate, whilst taking in to account, any verbal or written wish made by you during your lifetime.
Prior to dealing with your Residuary Estate, consider whether there are any specific items that you wish to leave to a particular person (i.e. friend or relative).

Your Residuary Estate, is everything you own at the time of your death, aside from anything jointly owned, your personal possessions and any gifts specifically made in the Will (as at Section 4 and 5 of this questionnaire).
You will need to confirm, who you would like to receive your Residuary Estate on your death. It is also important to consider who you would like to receive your Residuary Estate, in the event that your first choice of person/persons, has passed away before you.
