Trip to the Senedd for celebrating lawyers
The law firm, which has offices in Pontypool and Newport, was officially invited by the AM to the Senedd to personally congratulate the firm on their win after being judged one of the best firms in the UK and the only Welsh firm to scoop a prestigious industry award.
Watkins & Gunn picked up the Lexcel Award for Excellence in Practice Management at the annual black tie Law Society Awards dinner held in London.
The Award rewards excellence in practice management and service delivery to clients from practices that have successfully implemented the Lexcel standards. Lexcel, the Law Society’s practice management standard, continues to drive excellence in the profession and sets Lexcel accredited organisations apart from their competitors.
The firm's four Partners and all of their staff attended the reception in Cardiff Bay where Rosemary Butler AM congratulated them on their success. She said: “"I would like to add my congratulations to everybody at Watkins and Gunn for winning this award. They are a local firm who have served the community well, but equally importantly they are recognised as exemplary employers. I think they have shown us that even during a recession good management can make a huge difference.
